Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the CICU will provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients including those with sepsis ARDS renal failure heart failure and other complex conditions. The role involves patient assessment medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work 4x12 night shifts and must be available for holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the CICU.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide care for patients with conditions such as sepsis ARDS renal failure and heart failure.
- Manage patients requiring CRRT EKOS IABP ECMO and Impella support.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Respond to patient needs and emergencies effectively.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State (must be in hand).
- Clinical Assessment Medication Administration and Treatment Planning skills.
- Minimum of two years of hospital home health or hospice care experience.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in critical care environments.
- Familiarity with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
Special Considerations:
- Must be available for holiday coverage.
- Every other weekend is required.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity.
Scheduling:
- 4x12 night shifts (1900-0730).
- Start date: 11/18/2025.
- Every other weekend is required.
