Role Overview

We re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead manufacturing projects from concept through completion. This role requires a strong technical foundation in mechanical or manufacturing engineering paired with advanced project management and leadership skills. You will act as the central point of coordination ensuring projects are scoped accurately scheduled effectively cost controlled and completed to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical liaison to customers demonstrating capability and commitment to quality.
Lead proposal and RFP development including cost estimating and project documentation.
Oversee project planning and execution: develop routers work instructions and schedules.
Monitor performance metrics (cost schedule quality) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with machining welding fabrication and quality teams to resolve technical challenges.
Manage contracts pricing adjustments and change orders to ensure compliance and profitability.
Maintain strong long term customer relationships through clear communication and dependable results.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
PMP certification and demonstrated application in manufacturing or industrial environments.
7 10 years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Strong knowledge of machining welding fabrication and mechanical systems.
Proven success managing complex multi phase projects with tight tolerances and demanding customers.
Proficiency in cost estimating scheduling ERP systems and reporting tools.
Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
Experience with contract management and compliance.

Preferred:

Background in Mining Power Generation Aerospace & Defense Oil & Gas or Hydro industries.
Familiarity with GD&T standards and their application in manufacturing.
Hands on experience in machining or fabrication environments.
Exposure to Lean Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma practices.
