Site Engineer / Engineer (Mechanical)

Primary Purpose of the Job
The Site Engineer / Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for executing detailed fabrication and erection activities related to Structural and Piping disciplines at the project site. The role involves supervising direct manpower foremen and supervisors to ensure that all work meets Quality Safety and Project Schedule requirements. The position also requires coordination with multiple departments and engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Execute and supervise fabrication and erection of structural and piping works including:
Jacket structures piles boat landings riser guards risers and J-tubes
Topside modules bridges and flare structures
Topside piping spools pipe supports and subsea spools/sleepers
Brownfield modifications such as deck extensions and modules
Ensure strict compliance with HSE Quality and Work Procedures.
Implement Quality and Safety procedures at the site level.
Coordinate and liaise with engineering QC painting and other departments for seamless work execution.
Allocate work based on schedules and project priorities.
Monitor and control site execution activities to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
Ensure availability of manpower equipment consumables and materials to meet project demands.
Lead and guide teams of supervisors and foremen to ensure compliance with project specifications drawings and safety standards.
Coordinate load-out activities and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5–10 years in Oil & Gas offshore fabrication (jackets piles boat landings topside decks bridges piping and supports)
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of fabrication and erection processes for structural and piping systems
Excellent understanding of HSE and Quality standards
Proficiency in MS Word Excel and Email communication
Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
