Our client in Worcester MA is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping youth and adults achieve meaningful employment through education skills training and supportive services. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Site Classroom Instructor to join their Worcester team and make a lasting impact on the lives of their students.
Position OverviewThe Instructor will provide Adult Basic Education (ABE) and HiSET preparation instruction to students supporting them in improving academic skills achieving certification and developing career readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging instruction and testing to help students increase grade levels and earn their HiSET Certificate.
- Coordinate classroom and on-site training activities in collaboration with Worksite Trainers and Supervisors.
- Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize students with program goals materials and resources.
- Provide academic and career counseling to promote student success and goal attainment.
- Support counselors in overseeing student-led community service projects.
- Facilitate life skills self-esteem leadership and job readiness training.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an alumni network to foster ongoing engagement and success.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) required.
- Related experience in education human services or youth development strongly preferred.
- Massachusetts teacher certification and/or experience teaching Basic Education HiSET preparation or life skills training highly desirable.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse multicultural population.
- Demonstrated initiative creativity and organizational skills in curriculum development and student engagement.
- Team-oriented approach with the flexibility to adapt to students individual learning needs and program goals.
