Job Summary
The Instructional Technologist delivers training for our instructors. This role provides guidance to train and ensure our instructors become qualified instructors. This role can support all sites across the nuclear fleet but will serve as a primary point of contact for one or two of our sites. As a team our instructional technologists support around 90 instructors fleetwide. They serve as mentors to instructors on the SAT process and work closely with training leadership on alignment and program improvement. Travel between sites may occur occasionally typically two to three times per year though it can vary.

Key Accountabilities
- As an Instructional Technologist deliver and maintain the fleet Instructor Training Program providing initial and continuing training to all instructors in alignment with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and fleet governance standards.
- Serve as the fleet Instructional Technologist point of contact for the site location while supporting Instructor Training needs across the entire fleet.
- Identify program issues or improvement opportunities and collaborate with management and fleet peers to develop and implement effective resolutions.
- Develop and implement corrective and improvement actions for complex nuclear training program issues to ensure continuous program improvement and compliance.
- Support digital learning initiatives and other technology-based enhancements that improve accessibility engagement and the overall effectiveness of distance learning.
- Partner with instructors training leadership and subject matter experts to ensure alignment share best practices and maintain consistency in instructional quality and program execution across the fleet.
Education Experience & Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 6 years instructional or applicable department experience
- Strong work ethic focused on timely completion of assigned work procedure compliance and leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred experience:
- Experience developing or maintaining training materials or prior instructor experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) and related instructional design methodologies.
- Experience with digital content management to support distance learning.
- Technical background or experience within nuclear operations maintenance or technical training environments.
