A Digital Orthodontic Lab Technician specializes in using digital technology to design and fabricate orthodontic appliances such as clear aligners retainers and splints. They work with 3D scanning CAD/CAM software and/or 3D printing to create precise customized dental devices based on digital impressions from orthodontists.
SCHEDULE: Second Shift - Monday through Friday 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM
Starting Wage $15/hr $2/hr Shift Differential
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma GED equivalency or currently enrolled
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment a plus
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software preferred
- Proficient computer skills and understanding of computer networks
- Ability to read write speak and understand English
- Ability to understand and interpret work instructions
- High attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Visual acuity to work with fine details
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to perform and coordinate steady hand and arm movement
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods depending upon task being performed
- Ability to walk and carry parts materials etc. between departments
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand orthodontic prescription and manufacture appliance per Doctors design
- Ability to manipulate 3D objects on computer screen
- Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous waste following strict protocols and training guidelines as needed
- Operate and maintain 3D printers milling machines and other dental lab equipment; troubleshoot any production issues
- Work with digital intraoral scans ensuring data integrity and accuracy in digital models
- Ability to meet or exceed production requirements for areas of assignment
- Ability to produce products that meet or exceed quality requirements for area of assignment
- Follow all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE as required
- Ability to understand and follow requirements of the quality system
- Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the companys Confidentiality Agreement
- Understand how ones performance can impact the success of the organization and product quality
- Ability to use computer for scanning and to navigate through company intranet
