DescriptionCimarron is seeking aPipe Stress Engineerto support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the Sentinel (formerly GBSD) program in Ogden UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design construction and integration of the Sentinel launch systems at locations to include Vandenberg AFB CA F.E. Warren AFB WY Malmstrom AFB MT and Minot AFB ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nations aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This is an onsite position that offers a 9X80 work schedule (i.e. every other Friday off) paid overtime and a great work/life balance. For candidates not local to the Ogden area a relocation allowance can be provided.

Key Duties:
- Perform pipe stress analysis of piping systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.
- Model piping systems to verify flexibility stability and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
- Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to ensure quality and cost-effective designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as needed.
- Apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods using independent judgment for adaptations and modifications.
- Participate in design reviews and recommend approval of drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
- Analyze conflicting design requirements and develop potential solutions.
- Evaluate the suitability of unconventional materials techniques or coordination requirements.
- Coordinate plant design engineering activities with specialty groups clients vendors contractors and other stakeholders.
RequirementsRequired Skills Experience and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements only U.S. Citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid unexpired Real ID-compliant drivers license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is Real ID-compliant please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your drivers license or state ID.
- 6 or more years of related experience.
- Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes.
- Prior experience using the pipe stress analysis program Bentley AutoPipe.
- Bachelors degree.
Desired Skills Experience and Education:
- Previous DoD project experience.
- EIT or PE Registration.
- Previous Bechtel project experience.
