Job Summary
As the Data Engineering Manager youll lead a talented team building scalable data systems that power advertising measurement and operational reporting. Youll guide technical strategy mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to deliver secure high-performing infrastructure. If you enjoy solving complex problems and making data work smarter this is your chance to make a big impact.
This role is hybrid which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield Minnesota and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What youll do
- Lead a team of data engineers to design and maintain scalable data pipelines
- Build and optimize data models for real-time and batch processing
- Architect cloud-based solutions with a focus on performance and reliability
- Ensure systems meet security privacy and compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and deliver solutions
- Mentor team members and drive engineering best practices
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 4years of experience in data engineering
- 2years in a lead or people leadership role
- Intermediate proficiency in Python or R andSQL
- 1 year of experience with data pipeline development and orchestration tools
- Hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure GCP or AWS.
- Advanced degree in a technical field
- Experience in advertising or marketing analytics
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
