Raytheon is seeking a Senior Area Transformation Industrial Engineer to support production within the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson AZ to maximize throughput improve efficiency and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses Process and Value Stream Mapping Line Balancing Capacity Planning Manpower Planning Factory Layouts Factory Simulations Strategic Planning Project Management Continuous Improvement and more. What You Will Do

Responsibilities will focus primarily on supporting factory leadership Strategic Business Unit partners and peer organizations to advance Lean Transformation initiatives identify strategic investment opportunities and lead critical projects benefiting the make centers:

• Partner closely with Factory Industrial Engineers and Program Industrial Engineers to create predictable manufacturing systems.
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints improve efficiency and meet or exceed cost quality and on-time delivery goals.
• Create process flows value stream maps pareto charts spaghetti diagrams and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes the movement of material the exchange of information and key metrics.
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity Manufacturing Technology insertion infrastructure improvements obsolescence mitigation and the integration of new capabilities.
• Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.
• Support program contract proposals business case development for future investments supplier assessments and Make/Buy/Where analyses.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Systems Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant experience with a masters degree in a similar discipline

The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design/optimization
• Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methods
• Experience/Education with project management
• Experience/Education with CAD software
• Six Sigma certifications
• Leading teams and capable of influencing without authority

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
