The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 26th 2026 - July 31st 2026).
Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks providing hands-on experience and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Familys culture including our core values: Consideration Cooperation Communication Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.
The Analyst Intern position supports the investment team in managing JM Familys investment portfolios (Corporate Insurance Profit Sharing Pension 401k and Non-Qualified).Primary responsibilities include monthly and quarterly performance reporting ongoing review and assessment of existing managers assisting with annual audit portfolio rebalancing and cash forecasting preparing minutes for all committee meetings and maintaining SharePoint.
Responsibilities:
- Due diligence monitoring evaluation and analysis of the performance and investment strategies of current investment managers
- Assists with the evaluation of potential new investments
- Prepares monthly and quarterly investment performance reports and other related projects
- Performs periodic reconciliations between custody internal systems and external managers.
- Attend and participate in 3rd party asset manager meetings
- Coordinates regular meetings with the investment firms management team
- Prepares quarterly investment performance reports for our investment committees
- Maintain the investment manager filing system and document retention initiatives
Qualifications:
- This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements depending on the business needs
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word and SharePoint required
- Ability to work either independently or with a team and with changing priorities and deadlines
- Quality-oriented and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong quantitative analytical skills
- Emphasis on the values of Cooperation Consideration Accountability and Innovation
- Candidates need to be actively enrolled in a bachelors masters or other degree-seeking program with a focus in a relevant field
