Job Purpose

Material scheduling role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient production of goods. The Material Scheduler is responsible for coordinating the timely and efficient flow of materials to support production and meet customer demand. This role involves planning scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials throughout the supply chain with a focus on minimizing costs maximizing efficiency and managing inventory.

Key responsibilities

1. Material Planning and Scheduling:

- Ensure that the right materials are available at the right time in right quantity with the right artwork to meet production targets.

- Collaborate with production scheduler and supply planner to create production schedules that align with customer demand and manufacturing capacities.

2. Order Management:

- Place and manage purchase orders with suppliers based on production schedules and inventory requirements with respect of contract in place.

- Ensure purchase orders payments and solve any price/quantity deviation

3. Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

- Implement inventory control measures to optimize carrying costs while maintaining adequate stock levels.

- Maintain appropriate SAP parameters such as safety stock based on demand line capacity and supplier risk.

4. Supplier Collaboration:

- Work closely with suppliers to establish clear communication channels and ensure timely deliveries.

- Monitor supplier performance such as supplier OTIF and address any issues affecting the supply chain.

- Ensure a clear operational rhythm is in place with key suppliers weekly (order placement and monitoring) and monthly (volume RCCP and performance review)

- Track extra costs and ensure costs are well budgeted within allocated portfolio

- Support credit note requirement in case of complaints

5. Data management:

- Maintain all supply parameters up to date in internal database & ERP such as MOQ IOQ price

6. Data Analysis:

- Utilize data analysis tools to assess the efficiency of material flow and identify areas for improvement such as VHI (G7).

- Generate net requirement related to owned portfolio.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including production procurement warehouse artwork HUB and quality control to ensure consistent coordination.

- Address any challenges or disruptions in the supply chain promptly

8. Continuous Improvement:

- Implement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of material planning and scheduling processes.

- Identify and implement best practices to optimize resource utilization and reduce lead times (G7).

9. Risk Management:

- Identify and assess risks in the supply chain that could impact material availability.

- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a resilient supply chain (G7).

10. Product life cycle management

- Ensure a quarterly review of the stock at risk (expired slow mover no mover) and take appropriate action such as destruction when needed.

- Execute artwork change as per BOM switch date and HUB strategy (G7).

- Work closely with Finance to proceed with write off costs cross charge to markets (due to either artwork change or discontinuation) (G7).

Knowledge/ Education / Experience Required

- Master of Science in Supply chain Logistics Procurement

- Certification in supply chain management or related field (G7)

- Proficiency in using ERP systems and material planning software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Continuous improvement mindset

- Proficiency in French and English
