Job Summary

Due to a recent restructure within the Property Care team we are seeking a Multi Trade Operative (Groundworks). The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and refurbishment duties with a particular focus on delivering groundworks and other general building work. A right first-time approach and attention to detail are essential to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Within this role your main responsibilities will include:

  • Completing groundworks such as bricklaying fencing paving and minor roofing to a high standard.

  • Planning organising and delivering excellent quality works.

  • Working across the Property Care team.

  • Achieving excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Using a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) or tablet device to record job information.

  • Ensuring that works are completed to schedule and to budget expectations.

  • Meeting productivity targets showing commercial awareness and aptitude in your approach to work.

  • Ensuring that van stocks materials plant and equipment are used correctly and safely protected from loss or theft and are maintained in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified tradesperson with extensive experience.

  • Have experience of working within social housing/residential properties.

  • Be a skilled communicator who understands the importance of being customer focused.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

  • Be computer literate.

  • Be highly organised and capable of planning and prioritising their workload.
