What Youll Do as an Autism Aid II
- Support therapeutic interactions and implement behavior plans
- Observe children model social expectations and maintain a safe learning environment
- Step into a lead role when the Autism Specialist is unavailable
- Assist with preschool activities structured programs and sensory/learning stations
- Document progress update notes and support data collection
- Participate in parent communication staff meetings and trainings
- Supervise children and teach self-help skills (hygiene eating toilet training social independence)
- Administer medications as directed and monitor safety
- Assist with curriculum planning and daily treatment activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of study toward a degree in:
- Social Work
- Psychology
- Early Childhood or Special Education
- Elementary Education
- Child Development or a related field
- One year of progressively responsible experience as an Autism Aide I
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
