Job Title: Lead Data Scientist

Job Description:
NorthBay is looking for a highly experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of professional experience in data science with a focus on data processing visualization and structuring. The candidate should have a proven track record in leveraging advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and the ability to design and implement sophisticated predictive models to refine forecasting engines. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with various stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven insights.
Requirements:
- 7 years of overall professional experience.
- Expertise in data processing visualization and structuring.
- Proven track record in leveraging advanced analytics techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing sophisticated predictive models.
- Proficiency in Python SQL and other relevant programming languages and tools.
- Experience in managing teams and executing complex projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in using LLMs (Large Language Models).
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of the business domain.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of customers data.
- Build predictive reports from databases to aid in decision-making.
- Write scripts and queries to extract data perform data processing and create visualizations/reports.
- Assist in organizing and testing GenAI and other AI-related projects.
- Design and implement sophisticated predictive models to refine forecasting engines aiming for a significant reduction in forecasting errors and revolutionizing decision-making processes across the organization.
- Conduct continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency including introducing data monitoring tools to improve error detection and reduce processing delays.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable technical specifications collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
- Research cutting-edge open-source models to align with product requirements benchmark performance against industry standards and integrate top-performing models to enhance product functionality and user experience significantly.
- Conduct the training of a diverse range of models spanning Object Segmentation Tracking Detection Multi-Class Classification OCR and Statistical Models aiming for a notable improvement in model accuracy.
- Construct a robust integration architecture and automated pipeline to enhance data model performance aiming for a decrease in processing time and enabling rapid decision-making for stakeholders in the technology sector.
