Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced Mathematics Teacher with a track record of excellence both in and out of the classroom who will contribute enthusiastically to the broader positive culture of the school. Experience teaching VCE Mathematics is desirable.

About the Role

As a key member of our Mathematics Department you will be able to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in this area. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and a willingness to differentiate curriculum to the needs of the students. You will bring your passion for this subject to the School and above all have a willingness to engage connect and care for our students. You will have a commitment to the pastoral care of students and to contributing to the co-curricular and broader life of the school.

This is a part time with a flexible fraction between 0.4 to 0.6 FTE FIX TERM teaching role for the duration of 2026 school year

About You

You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and experience in teaching Mathematics. You will demonstrate:

Careand connectedness with students
Current VIT registration
Relevant qualifications
Experience teaching VCE Mathematics is desirable
Strong IT skills with experience with Casio Classpad an advantage
Ability to encourage andmotivate your students
Strong communicationand organisational skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills
You will havedemonstrated knowledge of the subject within the VCE and Australian CurriculumFrameworkswhere relevant
You will encourage students to take risks within a structured school environment to make individual choices and to use new experiences as learning opportunities
You will havea desire to work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engagein the broader life of the School
