Who you are

We are looking Team Leader of Quality Assurance for our Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems (BU HGS) Qingdao Marine site. As a Team Leader you are working in our Engineering & Supply organization and you are part of Quality team. As a Team Leader you will lead the Quality Assurance team within our organization ensuring product and process quality in accordance with legal requirements Alfa Laval standards / specifications and customer expectations. You will work proactively to identify risks ensure transparency in quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives. While not directly responsible for manufacturing quality you will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Quality Team to ensure consistent standards and alignment. You will report locally to the E&S site manager and have a dotted operational line to the BU Quality Manager in Denmark. You work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization including suppliers customers and internal stakeholders.

What you know

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant technical education (e.g. ./. in Engineering or Quality Management)
  • Experience in leading people and managing teams
  • Proven background in Quality Assurance preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Experience in managing supplier and customer claims including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and analytical mindset with a focus on risk prevention
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Knowledge of Alfa Laval standards and processes (preferred but not required)
  • Fluent in English both oral and written

About the job

  • Lead and support your team in their daily work fostering a proactive and accountable culture
  • Develop and motivate team members ensuring performance dialogues and growth
  • Ensure quality and efficiency in the Quality Assurance area including compliance with Alfa Laval global standards and procedures
  • Manage supplier and customer claims ensuring timely follow-up root cause analysis and resolution
  • Organize and participate in audits handling non-conformities and observations
  • Ensure transparency and reporting of quality levels and performance indicators
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and proactively identify risks
  • Coordinate validation activities for finished products and components
  • Collaborate cross-functionally especially with the Manufacturing Quality Team to ensure alignment on standards and improvement initiatives
  • Build trust and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction process optimization and cost efficiency
