Associate Director SHEQ & Producivity Projects
Location: The Woodlands TX
The Associate Director SHEQ & Productivity Projects is responsible for providing direction advice and assessment to Operations Transfill locations and overall management team in safety health quality and environmental related issues (i.e. regulatory policy andprocedures safety standards and best practices) for Helium and Rare Gases operations.
The Associate Director SHEQ & Productivity Projects is responsible for but not limited to the following:
Safety Health Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Leadership
Provide SHEQ support to operations and business units ensuring compliance with local and global standards.
Conduct site surveys and audits to assess compliance with corporate SHEQ policies and regulatory requirements.
Lead SHEQ training programs including topics such as Hazard ID Risk Assessment Incident Investigation and Regulatory Compliance (OSHA EPA DOT Responsible Care).
Investigate and document incidents perform root cause analysis and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Maintain and implement Management of Change (MOC) procedures and ensure updates to operating procedures and standards.
Support emergency response efforts and regulatory inspections.
Facilitate quality meetings manage non-conformances and maintain quality incident records in the QIR system.
Participate in internal and external audits and support continuous improvement of SHEQ systems.
Project Management and Execution
Lead the execution of small-scale operations projects including scope definition vendor quoting and start-up.
Manage the productivity project queue prioritizing high-impact quick-turnaround initiatives.
Ensure compliance with project control plans and utilize Power Steering for project tracking.
Lead the Project Management team ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Digital Transformation and Business Process Improvement
Lead the Digital team providing prioritization business process knowledge and support.
Develop and implement digital tools and reports to improve business processes across the He&RG organization.
Lead monthly productivity meetings to report on project status and drive accountability.
Experience:
B.S. degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a closely related field preferred or equivalent experience
7 years of progressive Health & Safety experience
Excellent knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) FDA regulations and ISO quality management systems
Understanding of OSHA EPA DOT Responsible Care
Incident Investigation and root cause analysis
Hands-on and acts with a sense of urgency
Ability to work independently to achieve desired results with remote management oversight
Experiencing managing others is preferred
Certifications/Licenses: Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
Skills Required:
Proficient at Microsoft Office;
Communication and Collaboration skills - Both verbally and in writing with managers colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company at all Levels.
Strategic Thinking Ability to leverage Safety insights and Best Practices to influence strategy and operations.
Change Leadership Communicates business need for a change in safety strategy and processes. This includes defining vision state leading change/engaging teams and implementing
Analytical and problem-solving - Ability to analyze a breadth of data for relationships and in-depth understanding in order to influence safety plans and continuous improvement
Passionate team player with ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated leadership and Project Management skills
60% travel requirement (including 1-2 international trips)
