Position Summary:
- The Waste Disposal Technician is responsible for the proper disposal of process waste unused laboratory samples and spent chemicals used in the laboratory according to corporate federal state and local guidelines. Responsible for safely transporting process waste and unused samples within the laboratory environment. The Waste Disposal Technician must adhere to standard operating procedures good documentation practices and maintain accurate recordkeeping as well as staying up-to-date on training and following training guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adherence to local safety practices
- Responsible for identifying waste streams and maintaining satellite accumulation points for laboratory waste products
- Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and returns containers to laboratory for reuse
- Responsible for disposing unused laboratory samples and process wastes according to regulations
- Maintains Ambient Sample storage and Disposal areas to keep it clutter-free and free of hazards
- Under the guidance of the EHS manager coordinates pickup of hazardous waste from the laboratory as required
- Documents and tracks volume of waste generated and disposed for reporting to EHS Manager
- Prepares and tracks implementation to minimize waste generation
- Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed
This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety personal protection equipment (PPE).
This role is M-F 8am-5pm with some weekends as needed.
Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Requirements:
- High School Degree or GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook and documentation practices
- Ability to work in a chemical environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lift carry and move 25-50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to abide by Eurofins Safety and Exposure Procedures
- Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or Sponsorship
Ideal Candidates will have:
- 2 years experience in environmental industry preferred especially in a lab setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay range: $18.54-22.00
