Overview
The Solution Consultant will play a key role in supporting RFQs RFPs and tenders related to the maintenance of IT Infrastructure (network and systems) and cybersecurity products. This role involves close collaboration with Client Sales Units (CSUs) sales specialists costing teams and vendors to develop compelling and competitive proposals.
The consultant will actively engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements shape solution strategies and position the right maintenance offerings. A critical aspect of the role is partnering with the internal pricing team to ensure solutions are accurately scoped commercially viable and aligned to clients needsdelivering value propositions that are both competitive and sustainable.
Stakeholder Engagement & Solutioning
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales CSU Costing Delivery) and external vendors during the solutioning and bid stage.
- Drive solution completeness cost-effectiveness and alignment with customer requirements.
Tender Compliance
- Review tender specifications requirements and contractual clauses to ensure full compliance.
- Highlight and document areas of non-compliance providing recommendations for mitigation.
Proposal Development & Presentation
- Lead the preparation of proposals bid responses and presentations for OneCare services and scope of work.
- Ensure responses clearly articulate solution value differentiators and alignment with client needs.
RFx Response Ownership
- Take ownership of Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
- Provide clear structured and customer-focused solution narratives.
Technology & Market Awareness
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies market trends and evolving cybersecurity and infrastructure needs.
- Integrate new insights into solution design and client engagements.
Customer Requirements & Solutioning
- Engage customers to understand business pain points and technical requirements.
- Work with sales teams to design right-sized value-driven solutions that address customer challenges.
Go-to-Market Alignment
- Partner with Sales Specialists and CSUs to align presales activities with go-to-market strategies.
- Contribute to strategy planning and account pursuits.
Handover to Delivery
- Conduct post-award solution briefings and ensure seamless transition to delivery teams.
- Clearly define obligations solution scope and success criteria for execution.
Client & Market Engagement
- Support sales events seminars and conferences to represent NCS capabilities.
- Contribute to building brand presence and expanding new client engagements.
Collaboration & Partnerships
- Work with other NCS practices and external partners/vendors to leverage expertise optimize capabilities and achieve cost efficiency.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Preferably 7 -10 or more years of IT project management experience
- Strong knowledge in process improvement methodologies and tools
- Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude creative with excellent presentation communication negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.
- Ability to lead develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship
- Good customer management experience
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Certification in IT Service Management and/or ITIL (v3 or above)
- Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field or IT equivalent
- Able to travel as required
