Job Summary

That gap can be closed by energy storage: Devices that store electricity when it is plentiful thenprovide powerback to the grid when it is includingones usinglithium-ion batteriesare being deployed in massive numberstostart filling thisgap. But so farnone of those solutionshave proventhe abilityto deliverpowerany time anywhere over decades of service: The level of reliability weve come to expect and that the future grid will need.

Developed manufactured and delivered by our teams in Canada and the UKInvinitysvanadium flow batteries(or VFBs)can be installed anywhere andconsistently deliver electricityasneeded over a service life are highly recyclable dont rely on rare or conflict minerals and wont catch fire.

Invinityis a globalVFBleader with over 190 megawatt-hours of its batteriesoperational or inconstructionforover82 projects across 15 countries - more than any otheremergingenergy storage deployed the largest flow battery systems in the U.S. Canada Australia and the UK. Along the way weve earned financial support fromthe UK Infrastructure Bank the U.S. Department of Energy and some of the worlds leading institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of Invinitys HSE strategy across UK operations.

Ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and ISO standardsby carrying out internal audits.

Conduct and oversee risk assessment development and implementation.

Carryout accident investigations by using route cause analysis techniques.

Manage environmental monitoring waste management and sustainability reporting.

Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes across all levels of the UK business.

Support with communication with regulatory bodies insurers and external auditors as required.

Support line managers and supervisors with safety planning and incident response.

Provide HSE input to new projects facilities and equipment installations.

Regularly review and update safety documentation policies and procedures.

Report key HSE metrics and performance indicators to the Manufacturing Director and SLT.

Great to have...

5 to 7 year HSE experiencewith a background in CDM or Production Renewables ideal
NEBOSH General Certificate(or equivalent) with proven experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
Willing to work towards the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of UK HSE legislation and management systems (e.g. ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
Good communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
Experience managing audits inspections and regulation
Ability to build a positive proactive safety culture
In-depth knowledge of UK HSE legislation and management systems (e.g. ISO 45001 ISO 14001)

Willingness to travel occasionally between UK sites and abroad (approx. 10%)
