About the Company
Our client is a SaaS platform that empowers care providers to deliver outcome-focused person-centred wellbeing activities for residents clients or service users and to share meaningful updates with their families and friends.
Currently the platform operates as a digital wellbeing web app primarily used by carers and activity coordinators to:
Plan schedule and deliver a wide range of activities (many video-based)
Share updates internally and externally
Track engagement and wellbeing outcomes
The next phase of the product introduces a mobile app for family members a secure space where families can view updates photos and videos about their loved ones activities.
About the Role
Were seeking a UX/UI Designer to lead a full design system overhaul and shape a seamless modern experience across both web and mobile.
This role is ideal for a designer experienced in SaaS product design design systems and accessibility-focused UX/UI who enjoys crafting intuitive digital experiences that blend empathy with scalability.
Your Mission
You will:
Develop a new design system for the Motion platform.
Redesign the existing web platform UX/UI with the new system.
Design the new family mobile app (iOS and Android).
Project Objectives
Build a cohesive modern design system aligned with Motions brand and accessibility standards.
Enhance usability clarity and accessibility across the web platform.
Deliver a consistent engaging experience across web and mobile.
Prepare design assets for Tailwind CSS implementation and smooth developer handoff.
Scope of Work
A. Design System
Create a scalable component-based system including:
Typography color palette and grid system
Button form and card components
Navigation (sidebars tabs menus etc.)
Iconography and illustration style
Accessibility compliance (WCAG standards)
B. Web App UX/UI Redesign
Redesign the existing web platform used by care providers.
Key modules include:
Activities: Browsing searching and launching activities (mainly video-based)
Planner: Scheduling and printing plans
Residents: Managing resident profiles and preferences
Profile & Admin: Provider details dashboards settings
User Management: Permissions roles and access
Data & Analytics: Displaying engagement and wellbeing metrics
Mobile Optimization: Improving usability for mobile browsers; may evolve into a native app
Deliverables:
User flow mapping and UX recommendations
High-fidelity Figma mockups (desktop)
Clickable prototype for usability testing
Developer-ready design documentation (Tailwind-compatible)
C. Family Mobile App Design
Design a secure mobile app for family members to:
View photos videos and updates from care providers
Comment or react within private family circles
See upcoming activities or recent participation
Manage notifications and privacy settings
Deliverables:
User flows and information architecture
Wireframes and clickable prototypes
High-fidelity designs (iOS and Android guidelines)
Integration with shared design system and developer handoff
Final Deliverables
Comprehensive Figma-based design system
Full web app redesign (mockups prototype)
Full mobile app design (mockups prototype)
Tailwind-compatible design specifications
Documentation and developer/QA guidance
Designer Requirements
Proven experience designing B2B SaaS products (portfolio required)
Expertise in building or extending scalable design systems
Strong understanding of responsive and accessible design
Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with Tailwind CSS principles
Experience using AI-powered design tools (e.g. Galileo AI Uizard Figma AI)
Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
