Team mission

Were looking for a creative and driven Photo Strategy Lead to join our Brand Experience creative team. This role is pivotal in shaping the visual identity and storytelling of the GetYourGuide brand. The Photo Strategy Lead will define our global photo output setting the bar for what a GetYourGuide photo is and driving how this shows up across our brand across our entire ecosystem. You will have experience building highly effective scalable imagery solutions that play a key role in brand distinctiveness consistency and innovation across all touchpoints.

Your mission

  • Develop high impact scalable visual strategies that align with GetYourGuides brand vision and resonate across the entire customer journey.
  • Drive cohesive memorable visual storytelling through imagery in the marketing funnel and product experience.
  • Conceptualize and iterate visual assets for a wide range of digital and physical touchpoints including marketing campaigns product experiences and brand communications.
  • Challenge and evolve our consumer imagery & footage usage ensuring it remains distinctive cohesive and adaptable across all channels.
  • Set evolve and maintain brand imagery & footage guidelines and toolkits ensuring alignment with best-in-class practices.
  • Guide usage of imagery & footage by junior team members and stakeholders
  • Stay on top of visual trends and competitor activity to keep brand visuals innovative and relevant.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs in key imagery touchpoints
  • Utilize testing methodologies and research insights to refine visual strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Work closely with key partners including product and technical teams to drive revenue through visual storytelling.
  • Oversee image quality consistency and accessibility standards across all touchpoints.
  • Build a roster of external photographers videographers and production partners that can produce content aligned with our needs.

Your toolkit

  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing impeccable craft visual storytelling and creative vision.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to approach design with strategic systematic thinking.
  • Concepting and Collaboration: Well-honed skills in concepting and collaboration with the confidence to present and advocate for ideas.
  • Innovation: A desire to push beyond the status quo to deliver best-in-class creative work.
  • Experience: 8 years of relevant professional experience ideally a mix of agency and in-house roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Figma photography equipment & photo editing software with familiarity in Slack and Jira. Skills in visual design social media editing tools and basic motion design are a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive mindset with a bias for action always looking for ways to improve the brand through imagery and visuals.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects independently meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Education: Specialty or higher education degree in communication design graphic design media design or a similar field preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluent command of English; fluency in one or more of our core-market languages (German French) is a plus.
