Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work from home Head Office and from stores. Travel to stores is a requirement of the role and there will be some after hours and weekend coverage should there be a store emergency.

The region for this role is Northern Ontario.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Lead and develop business plans in partnership with corporate stores focused on maximizing profitability to convert corporate stores to Franchise stores.

  • Collaborates and coachs the store manager to identify local opportunities and develop action plans that support the locally owned franchise strategy creating wealth for franchise owners.

  • Manages the operational plan for their market building Franchise development/growth through regional and local market assessments. Providing a view of business growth.

  • Implement new programs built by Franchise Operations and Merchandising to improve profitability within their respective market. Ex. Partner with stores on Pet Expansion to identify and develop appropriate assortment plans to meet local market needs.

  • Contributes in the feedback loop to HOFRs and HSFD to provide insight on the talent needs/gaps in their assigned market. Executes action plans associated with those insights. Anticipates future needs for store leaders.

  • Ensure the culture of entrepreneurship and Merchant Mindset is executed with O/Ms (Owner/Managers) utilizing the Freedom within the Framework model. Empowered to course correct on non-negotiable elements of the framework.

  • Act as the voice of the store within home office. Manage the communication feedback loop from Stores to Operations partners and cross functional teams (Merch IS) ensuring clear communication of the GT Way.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Retail Management Operations Management or a related field

  • 10 years of relevant multi unit retail and or business experience with in depth understanding of store operations supported by experience in Merchandising.

  • Franchise experience is an asset

  • Ability to understand performance trends identify improvement opportunities and actions to be executed within fiscal year.

  • Establishes and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that support financial targets

  • Able to effectively lead and implement projects

  • Analytical and trouble shooting skills to resolve complex problems

  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization

  • MS Office proficiency

Assets You May Have

  • Demonstrated ability in controlling operational costs including labor supply chain inventory and overhead costs to improve profitability.

  • Proficiency in French (for Quebec Market mandatory other markets an asset)

  • Store Management and/or franchise experience a large asset

  • Profound AS400 system experience

  • Experience with Analytics platforms (BI/Segment-Looker) an added bonus

  • Six Sigma experience would be an asset

Travel Requirements

  • Extended travel required.
