Our partners Orthopaedic department provides services for both adults and children with orthopaedic conditions including upper and lower limb elective orthopaedic problems major joint replacements and general adult and paediatric orthopaedic trauma and this role you will provide supervise and be responsible for the provision of clinical duties within the department. This includes inpatient care pre- and post-operative care outpatient care and supporting the fracture clinics.
As the Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon this position:
- Offers a full-time or part-time opportunity
- Is open to applicants with early career experience or working towards obtaining fellowship
- Requires active contribution to the education and training of junior medical staff in the orthopaedic and surgical disciplines
- Has flexible rostering to support Orthopaedic Surgeons who may be commuting
- Offers staff specialists access to 20% clinical support time and full CME support
Who Were Looking For
- Have eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA and hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons with recognised qualifications in Orthopaedic Surgery or candidates who have undergone a RACS college assessment that are substantially comparable
- Participate in clinical practice audits demonstrating an open attitude to constructive educational and practice improvement dialogue about such cases
- Assist with supervision and student support
