Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary: The Production Control Coordinator II will have or develop expertise and knowledge of our product and processes in order to effectively plan and schedule customer orders and shop floor activities. Primary duties will be toschedule the previous days order entry checking component availability and shop capacity to meet the scheduled date. Also toprocess rush and change orders per customer requests and based on available resources both internal and external. This person will be the primary backup to the current Production Control Coordinator and will assist in performing any duties required in processing the daily scheduleand expediting of customer orders. Daily interactions with manufacturing purchasing and engineering departments required to gather required information to process the order scheduling.
Major Responsibilities:
Prepares and issues supplementary orders on order changes cancellations or rush items.
Maintains check on material inventory critical and special items subcontract work order process or other factors pertinent to production to maintain an uninterrupted flow of work assurance of shipping commitments etc.
Serve as a backup resource to the dailyexpediting process.
Creation and releasing of production shop orders.
Releasing pick orders to warehouse for shipping of customer orders.
Requires close coordination with shop floor leads supervisors purchasing department and engineering.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years related experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Access Excel Word)
High level of organization and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal skills
