Job Summary: Support in developing/maintaining monitoring and evaluation frameworks for projects and operations; assist in collecting and analyzing data to measure project performance against objectives; design dashboards using appropriate software tools to facilitate decision-making processes at all levels of management; conduct evaluations of project activities to assess their impact on food security and nutrition outcomes; support in organizing workshops or training sessions related to M&E methodologies and practices.

Key Accountabilities (not all-inclusive nor exhaustive):
1. Assist in developing/maintaining M&E plans for projects and operations ensuring alignment with WFPs Global M&E Framework.
2. Support in implementing M&E systems and processes including setting up databases and tracking tools conducting field visits to gather data and managing relationships with partners involved in M&E activities.
3. Analyze collected data to generate reports and identify trends providing insights into project performance and areas for improvement.
4. Design dashboards using software tools such as Power BI or Tableau to visualize data and facilitate decision-making processes at all levels of management.
5. Conduct evaluations of project activities to assess their impact on food security and nutrition outcomes identifying successes and challenges and recommending improvements.
6. Support in organizing workshops or training sessions related to M&E methodologies and practices engaging stakeholders across various departments and units.
7. Collaborate with colleagues from different functions including programme operations and communications to ensure coherence and consistency in reporting formats and procedures.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members within the team contributing to their professional development and growth.
9. Stay updated with the latest developments in M&E approaches and technologies integrating innovative methods for enhanced effectiveness and efficiency.
10. Contribute to the refinement of global M&E standards and guidelines based on lessons learned and best practices identified through the course of project implementation.

Qualifications:
Education: University degree in Economics Statistics Social Sciences Development Studies or a related field. A postgraduate qualification would be an asset.
Experience: At least two years of experience in monitoring and evaluation roles preferably within international organizations or NGOs focused on humanitarian aid and sustainable development. Experience working with UN agencies would be highly regarded.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of M&E principles and frameworks including the use of logframes and results chains.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information.
Proficiency in database management and data analysis using tools like SPSS Excel or Access.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in English language both written and spoken. Fluency in French Spanish Arabic or other languages relevant to WFPs operations would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of UN system and WFP policies and procedures regarding M&E would be beneficial.
Familiarity with project management tools and techniques such as Agile methodology and Waterfall model.
Experience with survey design and implementation as well as market research techniques.
Understanding of gender and diversity issues particularly in relation to vulnerable groups.
Sets personal goals in line with WFP strategic directions and demonstrates commitment to continuous professional development.
Models behaviour and lifestyle choices that reflect WFP values including living and promoting inclusivity and respect for diversity.
