Job Summary:
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:Job Description:
Process payments and miscellaneous department transactions.
Performs a variety of customer service and clerical work requiring general knowledge of fee collection and cashiering activities.
Answer phones and provide information related to Student Payment Services policies.
Must adhere to university billing and refund policies institutional and FERPA confidentiality regulations and Federal Title IV cash management regulations.
Minimal Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of experience comparable to the Cashier II of this series.
3. Any one or combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the categories below:
A. Coursework in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associates Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Bachelors degree equals (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B. work experience comparable to the Cashier II of this series.
Work Schedule:
This position follows a fixed weekly schedule:
Monday: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 9:30 AM 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 10:30 AM 6:00 PM
Thursday: 9:30 AM 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Location: NEIU Main Campus (5500 North St. Louis Avenue Chicago IL 60625)
Setting: Cashier III is an on campus position not eligible for Hybrid or Remote work.
This position requires a background check.
Salary Range
$22.63 / Hour
