Job Summary

As a Program Manager I you will be the subject matter expert to incorporate customer demand running capacity analysis running simulation peak scenarios and synchronizing our supply and demand over the 1 to 12 week horizon projections in order to meet our customers needs. You will lead middle mile volume planning forecast developing scalable solutions for network optimization and working closely with cross-functional teams to execute strategies. Your role involves analyzing datasets to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements creating contingency plans for off-peak and peak seasons and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across the network. Youll be responsible for developing comprehensive capacity models monitoring performance metrics and providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.

Key job responsibilities
-Lead the weekly and short-term forecast capacity planning and peak season strategy for the Amazon Logistics MX network ensuring alignment with business objectives.
-Partner with Operations teams to design and implement optimal network plans and solutions.
-Critically analyze and validate weekly forecasts and capacity plans ensuring accuracy of assumptions inputs and methodologies while identifying areas for improvement.
-Develop and execute short-term strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience by collaborating with key stakeholders driving improvements in weekly performance metrics and achieving established quality and efficiency targets.
-Establish feedback loops with operations teams to continuously refine forecast accuracy incorporating real-time insights and historical performance data.
-Monitor and report on key performance indicators providing data-driven recommendations to address gaps and optimize network.

A day in the life
-Actively participate in daily and weekly business reviews analyzing and responding to callouts in key network metrics while providing insights.
-Collaborate closely with S&OP and Operations teams through regular engagement sessions to gather critical inputs validate assumptions and implement weekly improvements to the plan.
-Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities by proactively identifying and addressing network challenges developing quick solutions for execution issues.
-Maintain high levels of operational readiness to respond to network disruptions and unexpected challenges ensuring business continuity and service level maintenance.

About the team
The Volume Planning team is responsible for forecasting and planning inbound and outbound transportation flows across the entire network striving to achieve optimal forecast accuracy through continuous data analysis. The team coordinates with S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and other internal stakeholders to optimize transportation movement between facilities while identifying opportunities for network efficiency improvements and cost optimization.

- 2 years of program or project management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- 2 years of industry work experience

- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in MS Access and SQL
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level including: pivot tables macros index/match vlookup VBA data links etc.
