Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our orthopedic team in a patient-centered care environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality evidence-based care to adult patients who are ill injured or recovering. You will perform comprehensive clinical assessments manage patient treatment autonomously and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and document comprehensive data relevant to each patients health status and situation.
- Perform thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses prioritize nursing actions and implement interventions.
- Serve as a patient advocate-promoting safety comfort and dignity.
- Manage time supplies and equipment efficiently to support effective care delivery.
- Educate patients and their families about medications treatments and post-discharge care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to achieve expected outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required.
- Acute care experience strongly preferred.
- LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience will be considered.
- Licensure: Active Florida RN license or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
- Certifications:
- Current BLS required.
- ACLS preferred (required within 6 months of hire).
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and a commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
