Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to pediatric patients working within a 1:4 patient ratio. The role involves rotating day/night shifts and requires at least two years of pediatric nursing experience. The nurse must hold an active DC RN license and BLS certification.
Location:Washington District of Columbia United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Make up missed shifts within the same week.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Washington D.C.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Cerner charting experience.
Special Considerations:
- Must start within 3-4 weeks of the offer date.
- Every other weekend is required.
- No background or license hits are allowed.
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted.
- If offered and accepted must provide photo upon contract signature.
Scheduling:
- 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Rotating day/night shifts.
- Shift assignments are determined by the facility.
