Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by a Registered Nurse. This role involves gathering and reporting patient data carrying out orders and performing therapeutic procedures suitable for the patients age and population adhering to established policies and procedures. Additional related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Gathering and reporting patient data.
- Carrying out physician orders.
- Performing therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Administering IM & SQ injections.
- Administering oral subcutaneous and nasal cannula medications.
- Providing oxygen administration.
- Performing simple dressing changes.
- Conducting follow-up phone calls.
- Interpreting laboratory results.
- Labeling specimens.
- Performing medication reconciliation.
- Gathering patient health questionnaires history and allergies.
- Handling pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
- Setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
- Performing telephone triage.
- Collecting throat specimens.
- Monitoring vital signs.
- Rooming patients.
- Taking vital signs.
- Working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of work.
- BLS certification.
- Experience in outpatient clinic/urgent care center settings.
- Ability to obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG.
- Ability to obtain/instruct clean catch urine samples.
- Phlebotomy skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Special Considerations:
- Floating may be required.
- Must be > 50 miles or offered at a lower rate for ***s.
- Must be flexible adaptable and willing to work with others.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
Scheduling:
- 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday.
- Shift time is 0800-1630.
- No weekend work is required.
