Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Plan organize and supervise daily pipe fitting and fabrication activities onboard vessels and in workshops.
Review isometric drawings marine piping diagrams and work packages to assign tasks to fitters.
Ensure correct materials fittings valves and consumables are used per project specifications.
Supervise fabrication alignment fit-up and installation of marine piping systems (bilge ballast sea water fuel oil air and hydraulic systems).
Monitor and guide the team during hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipes.
Coordinate with welders riggers mechanical fitters and QA/QC inspectors for proper sequence of work.
Ensure compliance with class society standards (ABS DNV BV LR) and shipyard quality procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
Minimum 68 years of experience in shipyard or offshore projects with at least 23 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of marine piping systems materials and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings isometric sketches and standards.
