Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Plan organize and supervise daily pipe fitting and fabrication activities onboard vessels and in workshops.

  • Review isometric drawings marine piping diagrams and work packages to assign tasks to fitters.

  • Ensure correct materials fittings valves and consumables are used per project specifications.

  • Supervise fabrication alignment fit-up and installation of marine piping systems (bilge ballast sea water fuel oil air and hydraulic systems).

  • Monitor and guide the team during hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipes.

  • Coordinate with welders riggers mechanical fitters and QA/QC inspectors for proper sequence of work.

  • Ensure compliance with class society standards (ABS DNV BV LR) and shipyard quality procedures.



Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.

  • Minimum 68 years of experience in shipyard or offshore projects with at least 23 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of marine piping systems materials and fabrication techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings isometric sketches and standards.
