Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Melt Shop Rover (Melt Shop Railroad or Refractory). This position must learn the positions of EAF Utility LMF Utility Billet Tagger and/or Railroad and/or Refractory. The responsibilities for this position also include but are not limited to operation of forklift Telehandler bobcat operating a motorized UTV remote-controlled overhead traveling crane ARL spectrometer LECO carbon and sulfur analyzers several computer systems various hand tools production equipment assisting with locomotive operations performing switching operations providing railroad service to all areas of the plant Cross training on the outside crane assisting the refractory crew in all areas ladle relining and maintenance tundish preparation mold preparation tundish slide gate assembly material handling and fork truck material handling. Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights weekends and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

- One year of railroad experience and or one year of heavy machinery experience.
