The role
As a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic youll be at the heart of our Equipment Support Cell providing critical engineering oversight and technical validation across a range of defence projects. This is a unique opportunity to influence the success of our supply chain operations and contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support the UKs defence capability.

Day-to-day youll be:
Reviewing and validating technical requests and engineering solutions
Diagnosing and assessing vehicles and mechanical/electrical equipment
Completing documentation and test reports to current standards
Collaborating with supply chain subject matter experts (SMEs) to solve technical challenges
Supporting the development of engineering practices and tools

This role can be based at any of our main UK locations totalling 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. As this is a field-based position travel between different sites and occasional overseas travel is expected.

Essential experience of the Mobile Vehicle Mechanic:
Communicating effectively across business and operational functions
Leading and influencing teams to deliver technical solutions
Solving problems creatively and analytically in a collaborative environment
Building strong relationships to drive consensus and results

Qualifications for the Mobile Vehicle Mechanic:
NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair or equivalent mechanical qualification

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
