THE OPPORTUNITY

Sanctuary Cove Marina is looking for a self-motivated and energetic person to join its team. If you have a passion for the water love a challenge and have a personality for great customer service we would like to hear from you. The Dockhand role is responsible for providing a high standard of customer service to marina users as well as ensuring the marina environment is kept safe clean and tidy.

Working closely with the General Manager and Marina Operations Officer key responsibilities for the Dockhand include:

• Assigning casual marina berths monitoring the marina area and overseeing marina movements.
• Assisting with monitoring and maintaining marina WH&S standards and environmental compliance.
• Providing an exceptional service experience for marina customers.
• Liaising with security for any after hours activity such as vessels arriving outside of office hours.
• Maintaining records of water and electricity meter reads along with daily fuel dips.
• Ensuring work vessels and golf buggies are kept clean and detailed and that scheduled maintenance and servicing is adhered to.
• Assisting with general marina maintenance and upkeep projects as required.

This is a full-time role working 5 days per week with one weekend day required. It is anticipated that the Marina Operations Officer and Dockhand will work a rotating roster of Sunday to Thursday and Tuesday to Saturday.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Previous experience within the marina industry with a sound understanding of standard marina operations.
• Current boat licence and ability to swim.
• Outstanding customer service skills with a sense of urgency to meeting. customer requests in a busy marina.
• A quick thinker with excellent internal and external communication.
• Experience in repairs and maintenance in a marina environment highly desirable.
