Job Summary
Three 12hr shifts 8p-8a with flexible days and weekend requirement. Coverage area to include Manatee Sarasota Charlotte & DeSoto counties.
Physical Requirements:
1. Heavy work; frequently lifts/carries up to 25 pounds. Occasionally uses 50-100 pounds of force to move objects using proper techniques/assistance to lift greater weights including the human body.
2. Ability to turn reposition and assist patients to transfer and ambulate.
3. Auditory and visual acuity (including near/far vision) color discrimination and depth perception; ability to use all senses necessary for patient observation communication and driving.
4. Standing/Walking: standing walking and driving for prolonged periods of time. Must stand/walk frequently and intermittently to accomplish tasks. May also chose to stand while completing alternate duties.
5. Lifting: Must frequently raise objects including the human body from a lower to higher position or move objects including the human body horizontally from position to position.
6. Pushing/Pulling: Must occasionally use upper extremities to push and/or pull objects including the human body in a sustained motion.
7. Climbing: Must frequently climb in and out of car. Must frequently ascend and descend stairs uneven surfaces or obstacles which may be located indoors or outdoors and may not be handicap-accessible.
8. Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching: Must frequently stoop kneel and crouch during the provision of patient care.
9. Balancing: Must maintain balance which is necessary for ordinary locomotion and body equilibrium.
10. Sitting: Must sit frequently when traveling to patients home and may also choose to sit while completing administrative duties.
11. Reaching: Must frequently reach to administer patient care services treatments and procedures.
12. Fingering/Grasping: Must frequently finger and/or grasp objects including medical supplies/equipment the human body and a writing instrument during the provision of patient care.
Educational/Professional:
1. Current and active Florida RN license.
2. Hospice/Home Health experience preferred.
3. CHPN certification is strongly encouraged within 3 years of employment.
4. Valid State of Florida drivers license and automobile insurance.
5. An equivalent combination of professional experience and education may be considered as meeting the educational/professional requirements.
