As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology team you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing designing and delivering the software components of the firms cutting-edge technology products in a secure stable and scalable your role as an emerging member of the software engineering team you will execute software solutions by designing developing and troubleshooting various components within a technical product application or system while acquiring the skills and experience necessary for career growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in designing and implementing solutions related to data delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements related to data pipeline JIRA assigned.
- Understand business requirements and execute data analysis to validate the achieve-ableness of it.
- Design and build data pipelines using FDC pipeline services.
- Ensure adherence to data governance principles run validation quality checks and ensure pipeline completes all Fusion Data Tests.
- Complete production release activities required as a data engineer assignee to a JIRA.
- Work with Production Support and L3 Application Developers to troubleshoot real-time data issues.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2 years applied experience
- Good experience in roles focused on data such as data analyst data scientist or data engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL ETL data modeling and Python.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experiences working in AWS.
- Experiences with pipeline orchestrator such as Apache Airflow Argo Workflow.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub.
- Understanding of metadata management data lineage and data glossaries.
