Job Summary
Export Port Ops clerk
Full time permanent
We are looking for an Export Port Ops Clerk to join our busy this role you will be responsible for reconciling the load list of UK export vessels as they depart the berth understanding and informing the wider business about everything that has/has not shipped successfully.
Additional duties include assisting with the ingating of export containers and recording statistical data. The role requires using a range of internal and external systems to investigate and report whilst also liaising with internal and external contacts as required.
How you will help us and what you can expect
- Ensure all short shipments are investigated and accurately reported on in a timely fashion
- Liaise with cargo management team to update missed shipments to new export voyages
- Upload of Final OBL files into EQM system
- Sending of accurate TLP / TLA (loading files) to northwest continent agencies
- Accurate notification of Shipped on Board
- Ensure equipment moves are in the system for all exported units
- Collating department performance data
- Managing data in Port Systems to assist the ingate of export units
Skills and experience youll bring to us
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge and experience of the Ports vessels and associated operations an advantage.
- Good PC skills previous experience of MS Office software essential
- Technical ability to learn and use in-house systems
- A professional positive and flexible attitude at all times
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to build positive operational relationships with internal customers.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisation skills
