We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to ensure the highest level of quality in our products and processes. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing implementing and maintaining quality systems conducting audits resolving quality issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance standards procedures and systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering production and procurement teams to ensure product quality and process control.
- Interpret and implement quality standards.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Participate in new product development to ensure quality is built into design and manufacturing.
- Handle non-conformance reports (NCRs) and customer complaints.
- Assist in training employees on quality processes and tools (e.g. FMEA SPC PPAP 8D Six Sigma).
- Support regulatory compliance activities and third-party inspections as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Assurance or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role (industry-specific experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Lean DMAIC).
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO ASME AWS).
- Proficient in statistical analysis and quality software (e.g. Minitab SPC software).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Travel up to 25% to various sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GD&T SPC or FMEA.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience in welding standards (AWS and/or ISO) a plus.
The base salary range for this role is $66100 to $99200. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location level job-related knowledge skills experience and performance.
