The Department of Internal Affairs plays a vital role in connecting people communities and government building a safe prosperous and respected nation.

Within Ministerial Services VIP Transport is entrusted with providing world-class transport to New Zealands most senior leaders and visiting dignitaries. This includes Ministers of the Crown members of the Judiciary international guests and other high-profile individuals. Our chauffeurs are not only expert drivers they are trusted representatives of New Zealand embodying discretion professionalism and excellence in every interaction.

We are seeking a highly professional Chauffeur to join our Auckland-based team someone who understands the responsibility pride and privilege that comes with this role.

What you will bring:

• Impeccable customer service skills and the ability to anticipate needs with tact and diplomacy
• Exceptional verbal communication skills confident engaging with individuals from all walks of life
• Current Type 1 drivers licence with P-endorsement and a spotless driving record
• Deep knowledge of Auckland suburbs key routes and the wider upper North Island
• Proficiency in using navigation apps communication tools and other relevant technology
• Familiarity with transport regulations and best-practice safety standards
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends nights and early mornings
• Strong self-management skills with the ability to work independently while remaining a committed team member
• Absolute discretion able to maintain confidentiality and uphold secrecy legislation and our Code of Conduct
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance through Police and NZSIS vetting
