Mergent Group is partnering with a leading communications and technology provider to recruit an experienced Team Leader Engineering based in South Australia.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a high-performing engineering team responsible for delivering complex wired and wireless communication systems across major projects. Youll combine technical expertise with team management resource planning and project oversight to ensure safe efficient and high-quality engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mentor and develop a team of engineers delivering communications infrastructure projects.
Oversee end-to-end engineering design development procurement testing and commissioning.
Manage engineering resources priorities and workloads across multiple concurrent projects.
Review and approve technical documentation ensuring quality safety and compliance with Australian Standards.
Drive collaboration across project management operations logistics and technical support teams.
Conduct design reviews and Safety in Design assessments to mitigate risks.
Provide technical input for tenders proposals and project estimates.
Support training coaching and succession planning within the engineering team.
Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
Attend site visits to provide technical guidance and ensure smooth project delivery.

About You:

Bachelors degree in communications Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering (or similar).
15 years experience in professional engineering roles including 5 years in leadership.
Proven background in telecommunications mining oil & gas or defence industries.
Strong technical understanding of communications and electrical systems.
Excellent stakeholder engagement leadership and problem-solving skills.
