Business Risk Assurance Associate
Fairview Cyber is seeking an experienced Risk Assurance Associate for our executive team. We are seeking exceptional candidates who embrace challenges welcome increasing responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment that exposes them to team interaction investment compliance industry and a philosophy of providing unparalleled service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting policies and procedures related to vendor management cyber and data security for Fairview Cyber Clients.
- Manage client projects evaluating their vendor management privacy cyber and data security practices and identifying areas for improvement.
- Advise clients on adherence to their policies and procedures related to privacy and data security programs regulatory expectations set forth by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission the GLBA and CCPA compliance programs (if applicable) and any local or business-specific privacy requirements.
- Conduct cyber and data security due diligence reviews for vendors handling personal information of clients: (1) conducting onsite or offsite vendor reviews; (2) requesting and evaluating due diligence materials provided by vendors to be evaluated; and (3) summarizing findings and any recommendations.
- Interface with third party providers related to the privacy vendor management and cyber and data security program.
- Prepare committee materials and manage meetings to review matters related to privacy vendor management and cyber and data security.
- Work with clients to manage privacy compliance for the company to ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate privacy risks including working with clients to conduct privacy risk assessments develop incident management plans and conduct cyber and privacy training.
- Maintain records related to vendor management privacy cyber and data security practices.
- Coordinate with clients regarding the reporting investigation and remediation of privacy incidents in a timely manner consistent with legal requirements.
- Conduct cybersecurity testing to assess adherence to client policies and procedures.
- Track and manage client deliverables.
- Demonstrate positive attitude towards firm profession and teammates.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate for this position is experienced with data privacy policies preferably for a financial services company.
- Knowledge and understanding of SOC information standards
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to work closely with partners and clients to provide exceptional service.
- Self starter and growth oriented.
- Strong project management
- Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the field
- Bachelors degree required.
- Graduate degrees in relevant disciplines (MBA JD MIS CIS) or certifications in related fields (FIP CIPP/US CIPM or CHP) are strongly preferred but not required.
