Job Title: Financial Risk Officer - IRRBB

Job Summary: As a Financial Risk Officer specializing in Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) you will play a crucial role in managing and mitigating financial risks for ING. You will be responsible for identifying evaluating controlling monitoring and reporting on financial risks with a focus on interest rate risk. You will work closely with senior risk management and the 1st Line of Defence to ensure effective risk management at portfolio and balance sheet levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify analyse and quantify interest rate risk and implement new regulations and risk systems for IRRBB.
- Review and implement risk policies to manage financial risks and prevent material and immaterial damage including reputational damage.
- Support the execution of stress tests life cycle management activities of relevant models and measurement and monitoring of applicable interest rate risk metrics.
- Support advice and enhance reporting activities to senior management.
- Advise on risk appetite levels and financial risk management decisions.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance INGs risk management capabilities.
- Provide support and challenge to senior risk management and the 1st Line of Defence in managing and reducing financial risks.
Qualifications:
- A completed academic education preferably in economics econometrics applied mathematics or a comparable field.
- Relevant work experience (6 years) within the financial sector preferably within the banking sector.
- Proven knowledge in the field of Asset and Liability Management and regulatory developments regarding IRRBB.
- Sound knowledge of risk management and financial products.
- Excellent command of English both verbal and written.
- Ability to deal with cultural differences conflicting interests and complex challenges and to cooperate constructively with peers.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong quantitative background with a good understanding of different types of market risks.
- Good understanding of recent regulatory changes and requirements.
- Curiosity and openness to new developments with the ability to master new material quickly.
- Pragmatic problem solver who can develop and support the implementation of IRRBB risk measures in a dynamic environment.
- Team player who adds value to the Financial Risk organization and ensures exceptional performance of responsibilities.
- Strong presentation and writing skills.
Working Environment: You will work in the Banking Risk tribe within the Financial Risk department contributing to the worldwide management of market risks that affect ING Groups consolidated balance sheet.
