Job Summary
Rental Staff Cross-Country Skiing (Part-Time Seasonal)
Join our team and help more people get outside this winter! Charles River Recreation provides affordable accessible outdoor fun in the Boston area - including cross-country skiing in the winter and paddling (kayaking canoeing and paddleboarding) in the warmer months. We offer a relaxed supportive work environment with competitive pay and great perks.
This position is part-time and depends on snow conditions. For those who enjoy the work theres a strong possibility to continue into the spring and summer at our kayak rental locations.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day operations in the ski rental room.
Help customers get fitted with skis boots and poles; clean and wax skis as needed.
Ensure safe and smooth access to trails and outdoor areas.
Provide friendly helpful customer service to all guests.
(Optional) Lead beginner ski lessons or group activities-training provided for interested staff.
Requirements:
Enthusiasm for outdoor recreation in all seasons.
Experience in customer service is preferred.
Cross-country skiing paddling or other outdoor recreation experience is a plus.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in winter conditions.
Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
Multilingual skills are appreciated but not required.
Starting Pay: $15/hour plus employee/industry discounts.
