ESS part of Compass Group provides integrated hospitality and support services to the Australian Defence Force across Australia. Were currently seeking energetic and customer-focused Gym Attendants to join our Sport and Recreation team.

In this front-line role youll be the welcoming face of the gym ensuring a safe professional and engaging environment for Defence personnel. Youll manage daily reception duties conduct fitness inductions and help maintain the facility to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist gym users providing exceptional customer service and support

• Conduct fitness centre inductions and maintain accurate user records

• Oversee daily operations including equipment checks and general maintenance reporting

• Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene procedures

• Support the coordination of fitness activities programs and events

• Contribute to a clean safe and welcoming facility environment

• Report hazards near misses or maintenance issues promptly and constructively

What were looking for

• Cert III or IV in Fitness (essential)

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Reliable professional and proactive approach to customer service

• Experience in gym or recreation facility operations highly regarded

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and team collaboration

• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance

• Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement (Defence security clearance required)
