CRNA Anesthesia Brainerd, MN

Reports to the Director of Anesthesia and collaborates with the leadership team on the evaluation planning directing and implementation of nurse anesthesia services. Ensures adequate and appropriate provision of nurse anesthesia services as directed by medical staff. Oversees maintenance of qualifications and clinical privileges as indicated in accordance with standards principles and accepted practice of nurse anesthesia.

As part of the Leadership Team this role will participate in the development of policies processes and procedures. Manager will regularly facilitate and attend CRNA staff meetings and produce and publish minutes from those meetings in a timely manner. Manager communicates Anesthesia business with appropriate stakeholders participates in EPS board maintenance and standard work. Manager collaborates with Director and Leadership team on fiscal efficiency assists with compliance matters and communicates supply and equipment needs.

The Manager will from time-to-time provide patient care in the OR or out of OR settings. This provides important clinical context for ongoing managerial success and maintenance of clinical skills. The Manager will not be required to be regularly scheduled for clinical work but may work in the clinical setting at their discretion.

Work Experience:
Three (3) consecutive years of experience as a CRNA. One (1) year of experience in a clinical supervisory capacity is highly desirable.

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

• This is a 1.0 FTE benefit eligible position
• Cohesive team consists of 6 anesthesiologists and 13.5 CRNAs in a medically directed model
• Practice Locations: Essentia Health-St. Josephs Medical Center and Brainerd Lakes Surgery Center
• Variety of shifts
• Call: Mix of weekday and weekend call
• Skills: Spinals are a plus we will train. Regionals are a positive but not required

REQUIREMENTS

• Holds a current license in the state of practice.
• Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist (AANA); or has graduated from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia and is awaiting initial certification. Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Graduate of an accredited anesthesia school with a current registration as a certified nurse anesthetist (CRNA). B.S. or B.A. degree in anesthesia desirable.
