This Position reports to:
Production ManagerYour role and responsibilities:
In this role as Production Supervisor you will head a team in ABBs Motion Division in New Berlin WI ensuring continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans procedures quality and safety standards and policies. You will also be responsible for improving safety quality productivity and overall performance.
Your responsibilities
Enforce all EHS policies procedures and behaviors and operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Provide leadership direction and training to team members and create high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relations matters.
Work with other departments supervisors and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals.
Perform yearly performance appraisals.
Provide timely management reporting.
Ensure SAP inventory transactions are done per work instructions to maintain inventory accuracy.
Oversee on-the-job training and promote cross-training.
Conduct regular team meetings and group discussions.
Your background
High School Diploma/GED with minimum 6 years of experience OR associate degree with minimum 4 years of experience OR bachelors degree with minimum 2 years of experience.
Preferred experience includes: 5 years of manufacturing experience basic knowledge of assembly processes SAP
Candidate must be able to supervise employees while achieving daily production goals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Outlook and Excel.
Attention to detail time efficiency and utilization of manpower.
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
