Job Summary

Role Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a Subject Manager Expert for the mining market to support our Automation & Control Valve business unit.

The Commercial Operation SME is the authority in regards to the mining market. As such he/she is the go-to person for sales and Commercial operation when it gets to specifying products applicable to mining market. The SME will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams including Commercial Operations Sales Engineering & Product Management to help increase bookings revenue and profitability.

This person can be located anywhere within the US.

Travel requirement: 50%

Responsibilities:

Main role is to expand our presence and bookings in the mining market.
Works with the commercial operation teams to define application guidelines to offer the best technical and commercial solution to given applications.
Works with product management and engineering to help develop or customize products that meet market requirements including requested certification
Works with sales to enlist on vendors list specific to the mining market and develop capability to receive RFQs
Develop insights and recommendations related to market-level-prices
Develop insights and recommendations related to service requirements
Understand competition and how to differentiate our solution in the mining market
Develop training material to improve overall knowledge of various functions specific to the mining market

Requirements:

Deep product service and solution expertise in the mining market and product portfolio acquired through education or experience
Minimum 10 years experience in commercial operations sales operations or related roles
Ability to interact globally and interface effectively across regions and functions
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency with a Customer-focused mindset.
Ability to produce professional reports and presentations
Think outside of the box and be creative to provide solution
Travel requirements globally over 50%
