Job Summary

River Hospitals Inpatient Unit isseeking a highly motivated compassionate Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a full-time day shiftLPN ! As an Inpatient LPN you will be responsible for providing direct hands-on patient care in a rural hospital setting. You will be a key member of the healthcare team working closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will also be responsible for administering medications monitoring vital signs managing patient records and providing education to patients and families. If you are a dedicated healthcare professional looking to make a real difference in the lives of patients this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Job purpose
A clinically competent licensed nurse who provides immediate specialized patient care with a multidisciplinary provider team under the direction of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of their licensure. Observes and reports patient responses to treatments and follows the patient care plan. Must possess the basic and advanced practical skills.

Qualifications
  • Valid and current registration NYS LPN license
  • BLS certification.

It is the employees responsibility to know the requirements for certification limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.

Working conditions and Physical requirements
  • Regular day evening night and weekend shifts.
  • OSHA Category A potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances.
  • Bending lifting standing walking.
