With Wolts growth and expansion into new business areas comes also increasingly complex and broad regulatory frameworks. The role of the Public Policy Strategy & Operations team is to support both the Wolt business and the broader public policy team to navigate this reality by focusing on foundational public policy issues with the aim to de-risk existing and potential challenges for our business. Now we are looking for a self-starter who can cover a colleagues maternity leave.
What youll be doing
In this role you will cover our public policy work with Merchant partners globally across Wolt. Additionally you will lead our policy efforts in Sweden. You will work in a new team that focuses on foundational public policy issues with the aim to de-risk existing and potential challenges for our business. You will report into Head of Public Policy Strategy & Operations on our Public Policy team
Day-to-day in this role youll:
- Produce reports and other public-facing analyses that help advance our public policy narrative and work with counterparts at peer companies to build industry alignment on such initiatives.
- Develop global programs for the mobilization of Wolt CPs and merchants on policy issues.
- Engage with academics and think tanks to ensure Wolt remains at the cutting edge of public policy debates on the issues that matter most to our business and our users.
- Lead research initiatives that help us run data-based public policy initiatives.
- Strategic engagement and project management for key cross-functional initiatives including building and executing playbooks for the most critical policy issues impacting our platform and our users.
Additionally youll support our business in Sweden by engaging in local public policy work meaning you will get to:
- Engage with policymakers and 3rd parties building Wolts local network.
- Build coalitions and initiatives to ensure Wolts perspectives are heard in legislative discussions and other topics that matter to us.
- Coordinate agency support.
Our humble expectations
- You have 6 years of public policy experience in an agency in-house or government role
- You possess solid experience in external engagement & policy programs and campaigns
- You know how to work effectively across teams
- You have a brilliant mind with the ability to think strategically and develop creative and constructive policy proposals
- You speak write and are able to organise & conduct policy meetings at a professional level in English and Swedish
